To meet societal needs and support parents in caring for infants and young children, Kiddie Square commenced service in Shun Lee Estate last year. As the only aided standalone child care centre in East Kowloon, Kiddie Square held its Grand Opening Ceremony on March 1. We were honored to have Mr. Chris Sun, JP, Secretary for Labour and Welfare, and Hon Doreen Kong, Deputy Chairman of the Panel on Welfare Services of the Legislative Council accompanied by The Most Revd Andrew Chan, Archbishop and Primate of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui, The Revd Canon Peter Douglas Koon, BBS, OStJ, JP, Chairman of the Home’s Council as well as Ms. Silvia Mak, the Chief Executive of the Home officiating the ceremony.

Nearly 100 invited guests from the social welfare sector, parents as well as the Home’s Council members and staff attended the event, joyfully celebrating Kiddie Square’s opening in a warm and lively atmosphere!
